Magnesium

Patients are at risk of Hypomagnasaemia when certain medications such as PPI's and Diuretics are prescribed particularly when associated renal impairment.

DCP now has a prompt to check serum magnesium when certain risk factors are present.

Note: This is not part of any preventive care published guideline but been added due to author's experience with cases of this condition occuring.
